International Organizations and Organizational Development

Course Description

This module focuses on organization development (OD) and facilitation and provides you with a core body of knowledge necessary to understand and practice organization development within contemporary organizations. You will be introduced to the underpinning theories and tools that are associated with state of the art practice of OD.

Objectives

★ To understand the historical development of international organization and their current operations in different issue areas

★ To analyze contemporary debates on the role and effect of international organizations as forums for inter-state cooperation and as actors in international relations and etc.

Gender Studies and Human Rights

Course Description

This course is intended to make students aware of the ways in which gender is “taken for granted” and how gender is learned, the implications of gender for our lives, and prospects for change so far as men and women are able to combine and/or reject elements of traditional masculinity and femininity.

Objectives

★ To understand the institutionalization of gender of politics, economics, language, family, and socialization

★ To understand the concepts of gender stereotypes and sexism as a form of discrimination and etc.

Human Rights & Education

Course Description

This course comprises the following: Concept of Rights, Concept of Human Rights, Concept of Human Duties, Dialectics of Human Rights, Emerging Concept of Human Rights.

Objectives

★ Demonstrate a systematic understanding of the main concepts, principles, doctrines, and procedures of international human rights law

★ Critically appraise the application and functioning of international human rights law in different contexts while taking account of implications of diverse educational values and etc.
